ON THE VIDEO SHELF

Okay, maybe not all of them are on video, but most are. The problem comes that most stores just don’t offer them and only concentrate of the newer releases. Hey, we’re not blaming them because after all, it is a business and we understand that. With the classic movie channels, maybe some will pop up there as well.

But the fact is, to many people, the movie industry exists only for the last 10-15 years. There are a great many films out there that are well worth watching and in fact, some are near classics.

Speaking of which, we have purposely avoided many of the well-known classics as curiosity alone causes many people to watch those. So, you won’t see the likes of a Casablanca or Manchurian Candidate here because those are well known. Perhaps to you, some of these will fall into the same category but we think for the majority, these films will be unfamiliar or at the very least, never seen.

We are only covering those films that we feel merit watching. After all, with the 1000’s of movies available, why waste time on criticizing. We can’t guarantee that everyone will like them but if it sounds interesting to you, check it out. We also have tried to eliminate telling too much so you can get the full enjoyment from the picture even though it pains us sometimes to restrict ourselves in spilling the beans on why a picture is so good.

The films are broken down to 5-6 per list and not in any kind of order or genres.  Just keeping going through them and check them out.
