This is a list of the top films of 1999. Some of the films continued to run into 2000 and some have totals from 1998 included as this is the total film sales. Obviously, with the price of tickets for today’s movies, the ceiling of 100 million can no longer be the criteria for a runaway hit, although it certainly remains a sizable and respectable number.
